Organisers of Grand Slam Track the newest series on the global athletics calendar, have announced a few changes to the format of the league.
Starting with the third stop on the four meet series in Philadelphia, the competition will now be held over two days instead of the three which it started out with in the inaugural meet in Kingston and the second in Miami.
So the event at Franklin Field Stadium, home of the Penn Relays will now be from May 31 to June 1.
In other changes, the men and women Long Distance Race Groups will each compete in a single 3000-metres, and because they’ll only be competing in just one race, the prize pool has also been adjusted with the winner taking home 50-Thousand US dollars.
Meanwhile, five challengers have so far been announced for the Philadelphia leg including Isabella Whittaker, Josh Hoey, Hobbs Kessler, Nia Atkins and Georgia Hunter Bell.
