BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):
KYLE GREGG and Jeffrey Panton led a Jamaican charge at the 2025 BCIC Rally Barbados, securing a thrilling one-two finish in a fiercely contested event.
Gregg, alongside Barbadian co-driver Kreigg Yearwood, powered their Ford Fiesta Rally2 to victory with an overall time of 1:07:48.5 across 22 gruelling stages.
The win marked a triumphant moment for Gregg, who had been building momentum all season.
“I’ve been driving well all year, and we made a few upgrades to the car, and the Ford has been progressing well. After losing the shakedown rally by just half a second, I knew I had to stay clean, keep my composure, and apply pressure at the right moments, and today it all came together.”
Hot on his heels was fellow Jamaican Panton, partnered with Michael Fennell Jr, who finished just 11.2 seconds behind in another Ford Fiesta Rally2 with a time of 1:07:59.7.
The highest-placed Barbadian crew, Josh Read and Mark Jordan, rounded out the podium in third with a time of 1:08:06.8, ensuring a strong local presence.
A record 122 cars from 14 countries contested the BCIC Rally Barbados.
