Grenada Named Hosts of 2026 Carifta Games

The Spice Island Grenada has officially been named as host of the 2026 CARIFTA Games.

Grenada was favoured to host the games after Guyana announced they no longer had an interest in hosting the three day event.

However they had to await government approval which was granted on Thursday, giving the green light for the games to be staged April 4–6, 2026, at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium in St George’s.

Carifta 53 was first thrown into turmoil when Barbados pulled out as host, Guyana then indicated an interest in organising the event, but they too decided against it.
