Grenada’s Ministry of Finance reports that EC$627.7 million was collected in revenue and grants from January to June 2025.

While this exceeded the Ministry’s target of EC$622 million, it fell short of the EC$740.3 million collected during the same period in 2024, representing a reduction of EC$112.6 million year-on-year.

The June 2025 Fiscal Report highlights notable declines in certain revenue streams, particularly the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme. CBI revenue for June 2025 was EC$10.5 million, down EC$30 million from the EC$40.5 million collected in June 2024. Other reductions were seen in property tax and non-tax revenues.

Current Revenue for June totaled EC$93.8 million, exceeding the monthly target by EC$1.9 million but falling EC$21.4 million short of June 2024’s collections. Total grants amounted to EC$6.5 million, surpassing both the target and the previous year’s amount by EC$1.9 million and EC$6.1 million, respectively.

On the expenditure side, total current spending (excluding principal repayments) for June was EC$71.4 million, EC$10.2 million below the targeted EC$81.6 million, while capital expenditure reached EC$45.3 million—EC$19.1 million more than June 2024 and above the EC$29.6 million target.

The Primary Balance for June, including grants, was recorded at -EC$14.8 million, which was EC$3.7 million below the month’s target and EC$37.1 million lower than June 2024. Year-to-date, the Primary Balance stood at -EC$11.7 million—EC$43.5 million better than targeted but EC$230.5 million lower than the same period in 2024.

The report notes the Overall Balance for the first half of 2025 was -EC$30.4 million, “significantly better than the -EC$79.0 million targeted for the period.” Principal debt payments for June were EC$2.1 million, with interest payments totaling EC$1.6 million.

The Ministry’s fiscal data indicates that while Grenada met and, in some cases, exceeded certain targets, shortfalls in key revenue areas, particularly the CBI programme, contributed to the decline compared to 2024 figures.
