Haiti whip Jamaica to claim CFU U-14 Challenge Series

PUNTA CANTA – Haiti whipped defending champions Jamaica 4-0 to capture the 2026 CFU Boys’ Under-14 Challenge Series in comprehensive style at Cap Cana Sports City Dominican Republic on Sunday.

Haiti dominated proceedings from the opening whistle and should have taken the lead in the 16th minute, but Ronelson Janvier’s shot was blocked by Jamaican goalkeeper Knevoy Brown.

They had another chance two minutes later, but once again it was Brown who came to his side’s rescue when he saved Janvier’s attempted chip.

However, Haiti eventually broke the deadlock in the 28th minute when Janvier laid off the ball to Jodeley Delmas, who calmly placed his shot into the bottom-left corner.

Haiti continued to dominate after the restart and doubled their advantage in the 38th minute when Wensley Dumorne struck from just inside the penalty area.

Brown made another crucial save in the 46th minute to deny Marvens Fenelon, but Haiti extended their lead a minute later, with Dumorne beating two defenders before firing home to complete his brace.

Janvier then capped off Haiti’s impressive performance in the 59th minute, calmly slotting the ball into the net after getting past his defender to make it 4-0.

Delmas finished the tournament as the leading goalscorer, while Dumorne earned MVP honours. Despite the loss, Brown was named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper.
