Newly minted head coach of the Jamaica Scorpions says he wants to bring a winning mentality to the team.
Robert Haynes’ third stint as head coach of the Jamaica Scorpions, officially started on October 1, but he’s yet to get in a training session with the 14 man squad which is yet to be ratified by the board.
The 59-year-old has been task with turning around the fortunes of the Scorpions in the CG United Super50 Cup.
The Scorpions first match will be against Barbados Pride at the Brian Lara Academy, on October 30.
The tournament actually bowls-off a day early with Trinidad and Tobago Red Force taking on the Combine Campuses and colleges, and Guyana Harpy Eagles going up against the Windward Islands Volcanoes, on October 29.
Haynes told Nationwide Sports that things will have to change.
He says it’s not a difficult task to return to the top of regional cricket.
He says their also need to be some long term plans for Jamaica Cricket.
