Health Minister Denies Ties to Private Security Firm in 7 News Report

Minister of Health, Kevin Bernard has vehemently denied allegations made by 7 News Belize suggesting his current involvement or financial interest in ISECURITY LIMITED. In a strong statement issued today, Minister Bernard labeled the media outlet’s report, published on their social media platform and referenced in their broadcast, as “misleading” and potentially damaging to his reputation.  He stated, quote, “I have had NO financial interest, stake, or involvement in ISECURITY LIMITED since August 15, 2022″.  He clarified that on that date, he had fully and lawfully divested all his shares in the company through a properly executed transfer to Ian Emmanuel Cal.  He added that this transaction was officially registered with the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry.  In a direct call to action, Minister Bernard urged 7 News Belize to, quote, “exercise journalistic responsibility and issue a public correction and clarification to their audience.” End of quote.
