2 weeks ago 4

History could be created in local football on Saturday, as Cavalier stand on the verge of a national league double.

Cavalier women will look to replicate the feat of their male counterparts when they face defending champions Frasiers whip in the Jamaica Women’s Premier League final.

If they manage to win it would be the first time in local football history that the same club wins both national male and female titles.

The final is at Jamaica College, on Saturday.

Earlier this season, the men secured the 2025 Jamaica Premier League title.

Head coach of Cavalier, Everdean Scarlett, says the spotlight now turns to the women, who are just one game away from completing an extraordinary “club double”.

Scarlett says coming into the game as the underdogs could work in their favour.
