JLP leader and Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness, has suggested the PNP’s Dr. Alfred Dawes attempted to lure him into a confrontation during a recent tour of South East St. Catherine.

He made the comment while addressing a recent incident in which his motorcade diverted to avoid PNP supporters in the community of Waterford.

Dr. Dawes has since denied that he and his supporters sought to block the Prime Minister’s motorcade.

The JLP’s Robert Miller is locked in a close contest with Dr. Dawes for the seat.

Miller is seeking a second term in the constituency that’s traditionally been held by the PNP.

Dr. Holness says he wants to see an atmosphere of unity throughout the campaign.
