Prime Minister and Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, leader, Andrew Holness, says his party will be investing heavily going forward in improving the quality of representation it provides to the Jamaican people.

Mr. Holness has in recent days stressed the need for the JLP’s elected representatives and candidates to improve the level of representation being provided at the constituency level.

The matter of candidate quality looms large as the country nears the expected date of the general election.

Speaking to journalists during Friday’s by-election activities in North West St Andrew, Holness says the political machinery of the Jamaica Labour Party is in an advanced state of mobilisation.

He says the string of by-elections across the island should be seen as a warm-up exercise.
