Holness Hails JLP Workers for Keeping Party Leadership Accountable

5 months ago 8

The Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, says workers within the organisation are among the party’s most strident critics.

Party leader, Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness addressed an East Hanover constituency workers meeting and appreciation ceremony at Bethel Primary and Junior High School in the parish on Sunday.

Holness told a packed auditorium in Hopewell that it’s not in the character of JLP supporters to act on emotions. He says unlike the PNP, Labourites act based on information and substance.

Holness took a dig at PNP supporters at the recent demonstration against the appointment of Dennis Chung at the helm of the Financial Investigations Division, FID.

He noted that some were unable to articulate their reason for protesting, despite being, in his words, “loud and exuberant”.

The JLP leader says labourites have to be informed in order to transmit accurate information to people in their various communities.
