Defending champions Cavalier were beaten 3-1 by Humble Lion in a rescheduled Wray and Nephew/Jamaica Premier League game at Effortville Community Centre on Thursday.
Veteran Ricardo Campbell gave Humble Lion the lead after 18 minutes.
Jamari Morrison made it 2-0 in the 41st minute before Rico Ramsay sealed the game in first half added time.
Jalmaro Calvin scored the consolation for Cavalier, who missed the chance to leapfrog Portmore United into fourth.
Humble Lion are now out of the bottom two, but just on goal difference over Molynes United.
