US-based dancehall/reggae artiste Iesha Nova is upbeat about her latest single ' BallanDOR', which has taken off on FM radio.
Featured on the 'Blue Comet' rhythm and produced by DJ RoH, BallanDOR is the follow-up to her most recent effort Goodie Anthem.
"I was just in the studio vibing to the Blue Comet rhythm, and it dawned on me that I need a song for the summer for my female fans and listeners. And BallanDOR is the result of that," said Iesha Nova, who is of Jamaican descent.
She said that she was surprised by the support that the song has been getting on radio, as well as the feedback on social media.
"The last song that I released that I got decent feedback for, was Goodie Anthem, but BallanDOR is the one," she said, adding that the song's relatable lyrics have contributed to the buzz surrounding it.
"The lyrics, the flow, and of course the music video. Everything about this song is catchy. The song is getting played on the major stations in Jamaica, as well as at the weekly dancehall events and in the streets. The feedback is just crazy, and I believe that this is the song that's going to bring me the attention."
Iesha Nova also spoke about working with DJ RoH on BallanDOR, saying it was always a pleasure to collaborate with the producer.
"Just the environment, his dedication and professionalism will have anyone pleading to work with him, whether it's a single or a project," Iesha Nova stated.
