Ijahmar hopes to inspire on new single

Emerging dancehall artiste Ijahmar has pinned his hopes on his latest single, ' Not an Easy Road', a song about perseverance and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds.

"This song is a journey of self-discovery, it's about overcoming obstacles, and a reminder that the only way I'm going to get anywhere in this life is through hard work...it's really my transformation story," Ijahmar said.

Released last week, the single possesses powerful lyrics and a haunting melody that will connect with young fans because of its relatable and inspiring depiction of inner city life.

"The response to the song has been great. The fans, my friends in 5 West Greater Portmore, people ah repost it like crazy," he said. The single is the first release from his Resume EP which he will be dropping this fall. The EP features songs such as Nuh Worry Me, Dreams and Ting Mad. He plans to shoot videos for some of the tracks.
