Independence Park Limited, operators of the National Stadium says it will give the Jamaica Football Federation a 50 percent discount on the cost of renting the National Stadium for today’s Concacaf World Cup Qualifier between Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
The game was originally set to kickoff at 6:30 pm but will now begin at 3:30 pm.
The gesture is aimed at helping the JFF cushion any financial fall out from a lower than expected spectator turn out due to the time change.
The governing body for football in the region, Concacaf, has ruled that the lighting at the National Stadium is not good enough to host night matches.
