India’s women beat the West Indies by five wickets in the third and final One Day International at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The win gave the hosts a 3-0 sweep of the series.
Batting first, the Windies innings started poorly, losing their first three wickets for just nine runs.
However, a 91-run fourth-wicket partnership between Shemaine Campbelle and Chinelle Henry brought some stability to the Caribbean side’s innings until Campbelle went for 46 with the score on 100.
Zaida James then joined Henry at the crease, but that partnership only added two runs to the score before James was bowled for one.
Henry was the sixth wicket to fall with the score on 141. The other four wickets combined for 21 runs.
Deepti Sharma finished with 6 for 31 and Renuka Singh Thakur 4 for 29.
In reply, India made 167 for 5, inside 29 overs.
Deepti Sharma made 39, captain Harmanpreet Kaur 32, and Jemimah Rodrigues 29.
Final scores were West Indies women 162 all out, India women 167 for 5.
