The internet is trolling Porsche after the German automaker unveiled its stunning new Porsche Mission S concept on October 15, 2026 — the very same day Tesla revealed its next-generation Roadster, capable of launching itself into the air.

Porsche’s Mission S previews a new mid-engine supercar positioned above the legendary 911, combining classic Porsche design with a driver-focused interior. The production version is expected no earlier than 2029.

Meanwhile, Tesla stole the spotlight with its long-awaited second-generation Roadster, demonstrating SpaceX-inspired cold-gas thrusters and an advanced suction system that allowed the prototype to drive upside down, leap over other vehicles and perform mid-air maneuvers.

Tesla claims the Roadster can accelerate from 0–60 mph in under one second, with production targeted for 2028. However, the flying demonstration involved a prototype, and the technology has yet to receive approval for everyday road use.

Social media users wasted no time flooding Porsche’s announcement with flying-car memes, jokes and one hilarious question: “Can it fly?” 💀

Two legendary automakers. Two completely different visions of the future.

Porsche is focused on preserving the art of driving. Tesla is trying to take driving into the sky.
