For its second staging, Intimate, the concert featuring Beres Hammond and Buju Banton as headliners, officially started its countdown on November 7, the day of the launch at the ROK Hotel in Kingston.

The day is finally here.

The much-anticipated concert unfolds tonight at Plantation Cove in St. Ann. Joining Beres and Buju on the star-studded line-up, Reggae Queen Marcia Griffiths, Wayne Wonder, Johnnie Walker ambassador Romain Virgo and Bugle.

First staged in January 2023, Intimate pulled thousands of music lovers inside the Plantation Cove venue for a wholesome and unforgettable experience. The organisers expect another bumper crowd tonight and they are prepared. They emphasise that showtime is 8 p.m.

Traffic changes for intimate

The Jamaica Constabulary Force will institute physical changes and operational procedures to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic along the North Coast Highway in the vicinity of Plantation Cove, specifically the entrance to Plantation Cove.

The promoters of the Intimate concert and operators of Plantation Cove will construct an additional entry to the eastern end of the concert grounds to provide additional entry to patrons travelling from the Kingston and the Ocho Rios end of the grounds.

Patrons travelling from the western end of the grounds will be able to enter the grounds through the western end of the grounds through the existing ‘MoBay Gate’.

These entry points are in addition to the main entry gate to the Plantation Cove facility. Operations Police personnel will be placed at strategic points along the North Coast Highway from the Mammee Bay Roundabout to Priory to reduce traffic congestion and increase the flow of vehicular traffic along that thoroughfare.

This will be effective from 1 p.m. on January 4, to 1 a.m. on January 5.

The motoring public will experience delays accessing the North Coast Highway from off-roads. The police are appealing to motorists to obey the police operating along these points, and the relevant signs erected to provide information. On the concert date, the gates will open at 4 p.m., and patrons are to obey the directions of private security personnel directing parking in the venue.
