Ix-Chel Poot Releases New Children’s Book Celebrating Family and Nighttime Wonder

Belize’s literary community is celebrating a new milestone this week with the release of “Baby Star Where Are You?”, a heartwarming children’s book authored by Ix-Chel Poot, the Executive Director of the National Council on Ageing. Known for her passion for poetry, short stories, and her commitment to nurturing Belizean writers through her popular Saturday morning sessions in Belmopan, Poot has now added published children’s author to her list of accomplishments.  The Kindle edition, released yesterday, introduces young readers to a magical bedtime tale centered on a loving family of stars who each take turns shining in the night sky. But when it’s Baby Star’s turn to sparkle, she’s nowhere to be found. The story follows Mommy Star, Daddy Star, and their glowing family as they embark on a playful but heartfelt search, exploring themes of family bonds, safety, and nighttime wonder.  Designed for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2–6, the book is ideal for bedtime and naptime reading. “Baby Star Where Are You?” is now available on Amazon in Kindle format.
