Jamaican singer J’Calm announces his second full-length album, Emotions on Friday January 9, 2025 via K-Licious Music / DubShot Records.

Emotions spans 13 tracks and features production from dancehall producer Tony “CD” Kelly and Sean Paul. The project also includes guest contributions from Wayne Wonder, Ky-Mani Marley, Nigy Boy and Khalia.

Accompanying  the release, is the official music video for “Real Love,” the album’s second single which is inspired by Michael Jackson.

The 20-year-old Clarendon native showcases his dance skills while preparing a romantic Jamaican roadside dinner.

“The ‘Real Love’ music video is almost the most authentic I’ve ever been on set,” said J’Calm. “The styling, the creativity, the performance — everything. It all came together.”

The video was directed by SAMO, whose credits include work with Chronixx, Koffee, and Protoje.

Lead Single Already Making Waves

The album’s lead single “Emotions,” with Nigy Boy & produced by Tony “CD” Kelly was released on month ago on November 28, 2025.

Kelly crafts a modern reimagining of the classic Answer Riddim on the title track, while “Real Love” rides the legendary Green Apples Riddim. Elsewhere, Ky-Mani Marley joins J’Calm on the high-energy “Weekend,” evoking 1990s dancehall flair through Kelly’s digital-bass production.

“Sweet Love,” produced by Sean Paul, and “Downtown,” featuring Wayne Wonder, whose lyrics offer guidance to the rising star. On “Calm Nation,” J’Calm calls his nearly 2 million TikTok and Instagram followers into the movement, while “Be Yourself” encourages self-acceptance. The album closes with “They Didn’t Know That,” a smooth collaboration with Khalia.

“I felt very emotionally expressive and confident creating this body of work — it’s an emotional release,” J’Calm shared.

A New Chapter in Jamaican Pop Culture

Emotions serves as a generational bridge — connecting the foundations of Jamaican music to its Golden Era, while pushing the sound forward through one of the island’s most exciting new voices.
