JACANA has officially donated proceeds from its recent 420 Festival to the ISSA Trust Foundation, marking a significant contribution to the construction of the Mary Issa Paediatric and Adolescent Health Centre in St. Ann — the first facility of its kind on Jamaica’s North Coast.

The cheque handover ceremony took place on Friday at JACANA’s flagship dispensary in Manor Park. In attendance were Paul Issa of the ISSA Trust Foundation, JACANA CFO Alerie Hull Duhaney, and members of the media.

“JACANA is incredibly proud to say that proceeds from our 420 Festival are going towards supporting this wonderful cause,” said Alexandra Chong, CEO and Co-Founder of JACANA. “St. Ann is JACANA’s home, and it’s also where I’m from, so it’s meaningful to me to be able to contribute to the Mary Issa Health Centre.”

The Mary Issa Health Centre, a cornerstone initiative of the ISSA Trust Foundation in collaboration with Jamaica’s Ministry of Health & Wellness, aims to provide world-class pediatric and adolescent care to children and teens in the region — many of whom currently have limited access to specialized medical services.

This donation reflects JACANA’s broader commitment to community wellness and social responsibility, in line with its mission to improve lives through access to natural, plant-based medicine and holistic care.

The funds were raised through part proceeds from the company’s 420 Festival held in Ocho Rios, which drew hundreds of guests and garnered international attention.
