JACANA has officially handed over proceeds from its 4/20 Festival to the ISSA Trust Foundation in support of the construction of the Mary Issa Paediatric and Adolescent Health Centre in St. Ann, Jamaica.
The ceremonial cheque handover, which took place today May 30 at JACANA’s dispensary in Manor Park, brought together key figures including Paul Issa of the ISSA Trust Foundation and JACANA’s CFO Alerie Hull Duhaney.
The 4/20 Festival, held in Ocho Rios, pulled in hundreds of attendees, earning international recognition while raising funds for something impactful.
The Mary Issa Health Centre is set to become the first dedicated paediatric and adolescent medical facility on Jamaica’s North Coast. Spearheaded by the ISSA Trust Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Health & Wellness, the center will offer world-class healthcare to children and teens in the region many of whom currently lack access to specialized services.
On May 17, 2025 the ISSA Foundation turned up the volume on giving with the For the Children Charity Concert held at Couples Sans Souci and headlined by international reggae icon Shaggy, along with Lila Ike and Voicebox.
All proceeds from the concert will go directly toward building the health centre.
