Jackson Wins 200m at Stockholm Diamond League Stop

World champion Shericka Jackson recovered from her defeat in Oslo on Thursday to win the 200 metres at the Stockholm Diamond League meeting in Sweden on Sunday.

Jackson logged 22.69 seconds, a season’s best, as the only Jamaican winner at the meet.

In-form Rushell Clayton had her colours lowered in the 400 metres hurdles. She was second in 53.78 seconds as World champion Femke Bol won in 53.07 seconds. Andrenette Knight claimed third, while Janieve Russell was fourth.

Rahiem Forde was beaten into fourth in the 100 metres in 10.22 seconds. Victory went to Emmanuel Esseme of the Cameroon in 10.16 seconds.

Natasha Morrison was seventh in the women’s event in 11.41 seconds.

Shaniele Ricketts took second in the women’s triple jump with a leap of 14.40 meters and Kimberly Williams ninth with 13.98 meters.

Federick Dacres placed sixth in the discus with a best throw of 64.21 meters.
