Jamaica’s under-19 women’s team finished third at the 2025 Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Women’s under-19 championship after suffering a 1-wicket defeat against Trinidad and Tobago in the third and fourth place playoff.
Batting first, Jamaica were bowled out for 117 inside their allotted 35 overs with captain Abigail Bryce top scoring with 62.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Brianna Harricharan was chief destroyer as she picked up four for fifteen from seven overs.
In reply, Trinidad and Tobago reached their target of 118 with the last ball of their innings.
Opener Amrita Ramtahal top scored with 16 in an innings that saw the Jamaicans giving away 33 extras.
The championship was won by Barbados who registered a seven-wicket victory via the duckworth/Lewis method over Leeward Islands.
