‘Jamaica is Still Up With the Sprinting’: Seville on Showboating Against Lyles

Jamaican sprint star Oblique Seville is still on a high from Saturday’s world leading performance in the 100 metres at the Racers Grand Prix at the National Stadium.

Seville logged a personal best 9-point-82 seconds to win the event over the reigning world champion Noah Lyles who put down a season’s best 9-point-85 seconds for second.

Seville, who finished fourth at the last two global championships, even had time to look across at Lyles before crossing the line.

He explained to Nationwide 90FM the reason behind that piece of showboating.

Seville will look to book his spot on Jamaica’s team to the Paris Olympic Games when he competes at the National Championships later this month.
