World and Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce says she’s upbeat about the future of Jamaica’s track and field.
Fraser-Pryce made the comment after Jamaica’s women took bronze at the World Athletics Relay in China, on Sunday.
The quartet of Tina Clayton, Fraser-Pryce, Natasha Morrison and Shericka Jackson finished third in 42.33 seconds.
Fraser-Pryce says the main objective was to qualify for the World Championships in Tokyo, later this year.

Meanwhile, Jamaica won silver in the first-ever mixed 4-by-100-metres final in 40.44 seconds.
And Jamaica’s women narrowly missed out on securing a place in the mixed 4-by-400-metres at the World Athletics Championships after finishing fourth in their second-round race in 3:14.42.
