Jamaica made a losing start to their campaign in the West Indies Rising Stars Under 19 Tournament in St. Kitts, on Thursday.
The young Jamaicans suffered a 13 run defeat to the United States at St. Mary’s Park.
The USA batted first and posted 209 all out in 47. 3 overrs. Saharsh Shwethan top scored with 85 against Tamarie Redwood 4 for 41 and Vitel Lawes 3 for 23.
Jamaica replied with 196 all out in 43 overs.
Tyriek Bryan 58 and Kev-Aundre Virgo 51 made runs.
