Jamaica Scorpions Batsmen Struggling in 6th Round WI Championships

The Jamaica Scorpions were struggling badly against champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles at sports time on day two of their sixth round regional four day encounter at Sabina Park

The Scorpions are on the verge of being asked to follow on as they reach 147 for 9 replying to 424.

Captain Brandon King 32 has so far made most runs for the Scorpions.

Veerasammy Permaul has so far taken four wickets.

Earlier Kemol Savory 155, Gudakesh Motie 56 and Tevin Imlach 101 combined to take the champions to their massive total after they were 50 for 4 at one stage.

Ojay Shields took 4 wickets and Pete Salmon 3 for the Scorpions.

At Coolidge the Windward Islands Volcanoes reached 163 for 6 a lead of 167 runs against the West Indies Academy.

Alick Athanaze made 89 and Kavem Hodge 41.

Earlier, the West Indies Academy were bowled out for 158.

Carlon Bowen-Tuckett was unbeaten on 36, while Kadeem Alleyne made 35.

Gilon Tyson took 5 wickets for the Windwards.

Over at the Queens Park Oval, The Leeward Islands Hurricanes reached 97 for 1 in replay to Barbados Pride 542 for 9 declared.

And the Combined Campuses and Colleges reached 109 for 5 after Trinidad and Tobago Red Force declared their first innings on 591 for 7 at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground.
