Jamaica Scorpions Lose First Innings in WI Championship

The Jamaica Scorpions today surrendered first innings points to Barbados Pride on day two of their third round West Indies Championship encounter at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown.

Jonathan Drakes slammed a century 108 as the Pride who were 9-without loss overnight, were bowled out for 293.

Leniko Boucher 55 and captain Kraigge Brathwaite 31 also got starts as Brad Barnes claimed career best 6 for 94 and Jermaine Blackwood 2 for 32.

Batting a second time, the Scorpions closed on 26 for 1, still 36 runs behind with Carlos Brown back in the Pavillion for 4.

Captain John Campbell is not out 8 and Kirk McKenzie on 14.

At Windsor Park in Dominica, the Windward Islands Volcanoes closed the day on 232 for 8 replying to 216 made by the Combined Campuses and Colleges team.
