Almost 40-swimmers have been selected to represent Jamaica at the Goodwill Games to be held in Barbados, from August 15-17.
The Jamaicans will compete in five age groups for both boys and girls.
Team manager Kristina Chuck says she has been scouting their opponents.
It will cost over $400,000 per swimmer to compete at the meet.
Over the years the burden has been on the parents to fund the swimmers participation.
However, Chuck says the ASAJ has been proactive in trying to ease the burden on the parents’ pocket.
