Jamaica to Face Guyana With T20 Blaze Final Spot on the Line

3 months ago 21

Defending champions Jamaica and unbeaten Guyana will square off in a massive showdown at Arnos Vale in St. Vincent on Friday in a game that could determine the two finalists in the Cricket West Indies T20 Blaze competition.

The game which is set to bowl off at 1:30 pm Jamaica time, will pit first-place Guyana on 33 points and already in the final, against Jamaica who are currently second in the standings on 23 points.

However, the Jamaicans will be displaced from second by game time, as third-place Leeward Islands on 21 points will face fourth-place Trinidad and Tobago on 20 points in a game that bowls off at 9 am.

Irrespective of the outcome in that game, Jamaica will have to beat Guyana to secure a place in Saturday’s final.

The Windward Islands, in fifth place on 19, are still in with an outside chance of making the final and will know what they’ll need to do, if anything, when they bowl off against winless Barbados in the late game at 6PM.
