Jamaica U19 Women Win Opening Regional Match

Jamaica beat Guyana by 6-wickets via the Duckworth Lewis method in their rain affected West Indies Rising Stars Under 19 women’s 30 overs cricket tournament at the Diego Martin Sports Complex, in Trinidad and Tobago.

Batting first, the Jamaicans made 34 for 4.

In reply, Guyana made 27 for 3.

Meanwhile, the match between Leeward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago ended in a no result due to rain with the Leewards on 120 without loss at Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground at St. Augustine.

And the match between Windward Islands and Barbados was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain at the National Cricket Centre in Couva.
