JLP General Secretary, Dr. Horace Chang is accusing what he says are “elements in the PNP” for the bomb threats sent to public institutions on Friday morning.
In a statement, Dr, Chang says the threats appear to be designed to disrupt the vote of the security forces which is underway at polling locations across the country.
Over 12,000 policemen and women plus 5,000 personnel from the military are eligible to cast their ballots in today’s special voting for the general election.
Dr. Chang says it appears elements within the PNP have adopted mischievous and disruptive actions in an attempt to disrupt the process.
He urged those elements to desist from seeking to cause disorder.
The general secretary notes that it is important that the voting process takes place unhindered and without police being preoccupied with bomb threats.
Dr. Chang is adamant that the activity will not disrupt the campaign of the JLP which is based on its track record and a firm commitment to doing more for the people of Jamaica.
