JLP Chides PNP For “Violent Rhetoric” on Political Platforms

The Opposition People’s National Party, PNP, is coming under fire for what’s being described as the violent rhetoric coming from its political platforms.

The complaint is coming from JLP Deputy General Secretary, Charles Sinclair.

The concerns come as both parties are intensifying their campaigns ahead of this year’s General Election.

As the campaign heats up, so too has the rhetoric from the political platform.

JLP Deputy General Secretary, Charles Sinclair has specifically pointed to comments by PNP President Mark Golding, the party’s General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell, councillor Fitzroy Bailey and caretaker, Heatha Miller Bennett.

Sinclair says the comments are concerning.

The JLP Deputy General Secretary says the rhetoric is reason enough for voters to reject the PNP at the polls.

Senator Sinclair says the PNP platform speakers should restrain themselves and show greater respect for the Jamaican people.

When our news centre reached out to PNP General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell, for a response, he declined to comment.
