Convicted drug traffickers who’ve not re-offended will see their record expunged under a third term JLP government.
National Security Minister, Dr. Horace Chang, made the promise at a Mass Rally in Montego Bay, St James on Sunday.
Expungement is a legal process to seal or destroy records of a past arrest or conviction, effectively removing them from government databases.
Dr. Chang argues that it was the PNP administration which placed the offence of drug trafficking under Schedule three, making those records ineligible for expungement.
He says those reformed individuals continue to be affected today.
