JLP Promises to Prioritise Entertainment Zones in 3rd Term

The Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, says if it secures a third term at the head of government, it will ensure that entertainment zones are considered in urban planning for town centres.

The party’s Matthew Samuda made the disclosure during the social issues political debate on Saturday.

Earlier this year, the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, called for the establishment of dedicated zones for hosting large-scale events.

It said the call was based on persistent logistical and infrastructural challenges.

Samuda says stakeholders will be engaged to provide short-term solutions.

Meanwhile, minister Samuda also highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring that the entertainment industry is more attractive to young people.
