Government senator, Marlon Morgan, is questioning the funding plans behind several proposals laid out by Opposition Leader Mark Golding in his budget presentation on Tuesday.
Senator Morgan was speaking on Nationwide at Five on Wednesday.
Among the plans presented by Mark Golding is major push to help provide affordable housing through a $1 billion loan facility for first time buyers under the age of 35.
Golding says the next People’s National Party government will also provide financial support to local food producers through the establishment of an Agricultural Development Fund.
Senator Morgan says the opposition leader’s plans lack credibility.
