Jamaica Labour Party supporters also staged a counter-protest, pushing back against what they say is the assault on the character and reputation of hardworking public servants.

The Labourites held placards on Wilde street in downtown Kingston.

Some of the placards read: “Badmind nuh waa see Jamaica prosper”; “Stop harassing our public servants” and “Stop fighting the future” and “Choose Jamaica.”

One woman told our reporter that the People’s National Party know nothing about justice.

Meanwhile, another protester held a placard that called on Opposition Leader Mark Golding to make his birth certificate public.

The placard read that Golding had 72-hours to do so.

In footage captured by our news centre, Labourites were in a jubilant mood and some shouted “third term.”
