JOA to build multimillion-dollar sporting landmark

The Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) has been housed for decades at 9 Cunningham Avenue, Kingston 6, but quite shortly history will give way to a visionary and futuristic landmark, Phase One of a multimillion-dollar two-phase investment project that when completed will be known as “The Olympic Manor”.

A wellness hub for athletes and JOA members, a physiotherapy facility for athletes, sports apparel store, commercial restaurant, state of the art conference facilities and a museum will revolutionise routine thinking and operating standards in sport and offer athletes, coaches and members a boutique concept of a sporting culture and sport development.

This multi-purpose facility, while providing comfort and convenience, will be an earning asset in the commercial inventory of the local Olympic governing body which has been, consistently, a strong advocate of the business of sport. It’s conference facilities and museum will add to the evolving commercial and tourism product in Kingston.

Olympic Manor will not only be a monument to Jamaica’s sporting achievements, but also an essential contribution to the sustainability of Jamaica’s Olympic apex and governing body.

The design and functionality of the state-of-the-art facility is athlete-centric, but the earnings from same will not only diversify the earnings of the JOA but will also assist in expanding the benefits to local athletes and other key stakeholders, a continued concept of the JOA’s sport for all mantra.
