Johanna Ashley has been added to Jamaica’s swim team who are currently locked in preparation mode ahead of the 2025 staging of the Goodwill Games in Barbados set for August 15-17.
With Ashley’s addition, Jamaica will now field a 40-member contingent.
Christina Chuck-Smith, team manager, stated that the athletes are eager for the start of the championships which is still little over a month away.
At last year’s staging, Jamaica amassed a total of 49 medals inclusive of 20 golds, 14 silvers and 15 bronze.
Chuck-Smith is positive Jamaica will surpass that mark based on the level of talent within the group.
She is hopeful that each of Jamaica’s swimmers will manage to grab a medal at the Games in Barbados.
