Grand Slam Track founder, Michael Johnson, still believes the series can be successful.
The final leg of Grand Slam Track which was set for Drake Stadium on the last weekend in June was cancelled.
Speaking on Ready, Set, Go, Johnson says they are working on a plan to make the second season a success.
Grand Slam owes athletes at least US $13 million in prize money and appearance fees from its three events in Kingston, Philadelphia, and Miami.
The league had launched with US $30 million in “commitments” from investors.
However, Johnson admits unforeseen financial challenges with their investors cause a problem with them honouring their commitments.
