JPL: Mount Pleasant, Montego Bay United in Action in Double Header

The nation’s number one and two ranked football teams are in the capital tonight for important assignments in the Wray and Nephew/Jamaica Premier League.

Runaway leaders Mount Pleasant F.C will aim for a fourth straight victory when they battle ninth place Chapelton Maroons in the first match of a double header at the Anthony Spaulding Complex at 5 pm.

Mount Pleasant leads the standings with 78 points, nine more than second place Montego Bay United who play Racing United in the second match at 7:30 pm.

Montego Bay United are two points clear of Arnett Gardens in the battle for the second automatic semi-final birth and can move into a much stronger position if they bag all three points.

In Sunday’s results, Portmore United beat 10-man Arnett Gardens 2-1, Molynes United beat Dunbeholden 2-0, Harbour View and Cavalier drew 2-2, Tivoli beat 10-man Vere United 2-1 and Waterhouse clipped Humble Lion 1-0.
