The nation’s number one and two ranked football teams are in the capital tonight for important assignments in the Wray and Nephew/Jamaica Premier League.

Runaway leaders Mount Pleasant F.C will aim for a fourth straight victory when they battle ninth place Chapelton Maroons in the first match of a double header at the Anthony Spaulding Complex at 5 pm.

Mount Pleasant leads the standings with 78 points, nine more than second place Montego Bay United who play Racing United in the second match at 7:30 pm.

Montego Bay United are two points clear of Arnett Gardens in the battle for the second automatic semi-final birth and can move into a much stronger position if they bag all three points.

In Sunday’s results, Portmore United beat 10-man Arnett Gardens 2-1, Molynes United beat Dunbeholden 2-0, Harbour View and Cavalier drew 2-2, Tivoli beat 10-man Vere United 2-1 and Waterhouse clipped Humble Lion 1-0.
