Chief executive of Professional Football Jamaica Limited, Owen Hill, has told Nationwide Sports that his team is currently engaged in continuous meetings in a bid to secure a new broadcaster for the Jamaica Premier League.
Hill was reacting to news that regional broadcasters SportsMax, home of the nation’s top flight for several years, will close operations on August 8.
Hill suggested that while there’s no immediate financial ramifications, they’ll carefully monitor the situation in an effort to maintain the high broadcast quality the premier league is known for.
