Mount Pleasant Academy beat Montego Bay United 1-0 at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Thursday in their first leg semi-final in the Wray and Nephew/Jamaica Premier League.
Clifford Thomas scored the lone goal in the 22nd minute to give Mount Pleasant their third win over Montego Bay United in four meetings this season.
Defending champions Cavalier and Arnett Gardens played out a 1-1 draw in their first leg semi-final clash.
Jerome McLeary headed the champions in front on 27 minutes but Warner Brown restored parity in the 81st minute.
The teams will meet again on Sunday at Sabina Park in the second legs.
