Salutes all who made Freedom Street a success

Following the historic Freedom Street concert on December 31, 2024, Vybz Kartel has expressed thanks to everyone who made the event possible, calling it “a true celebration of dancehall culture and Jamaican excellence”.
“New Year’s Eve was nothing short of legendary,” Kartel shared. “Freedom Street wasn’t just a concert ... it was a movement, a celebration of resilience, artistry, and the unbreakable bond I share with my fans. To the people who filled the National Stadium and created a sea of unity and energy, I am humbled and honoured by your love.”
Kartel heaped praises on the all-star lineup of artistes and selectors who ignited the stage before his performance. Among them were Spice, Bounty Killer, Popcaan, Tommy Le e Sparta, Chronic Law, Shawn Storm, Jah Vinci, Sheba, Gaza Indu, Lisa Hyper, Skeng, Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz as well as Busta Rhymes and Shatta Wale.
The World Boss also celebrated the support of his brand Str8 Vybz Rum and Downsound Entertainment, whose vision and execution elevated the production to world-class status.
“Big up and nuff respect to Joe Bogdanovich and the entire Downsound team for believing in this historic moment and delivering a concert that felt like the Super Bowl of dancehall,” Kartel added, as he acknowledged the sponsors who brought Freedom Street to life, as well as the media for their pivotal role in amplifying the energy of Freedom Street.
Kartel ended with a promise: “This is just the beginning. The best of Vybz Kartel is yet to come.”
