KipRich, Kizzy Don make it official

Dancehall artistes Kizzy Don and KipRich are ready to let the world know that they are very much in love.

A forthright Kizzy Don said it was her idea to let other women know that the dancehall superstar was hers.

"I started to get jealous of his DMs (direct messages) and I wanted the women to know he has someone and all I did was that and expose him whilst he was sleeping," Kizzy Don told THE STAR.

"I wanted the world to know I have a stamp on his forehead and I'm here to take over, completely...suh the DMs are now less and they're now congratulating him in his relationship rather than trying to be in one with him. Suh dat took 80 per cent stress off my forehead yuh nuh," she added, as Kiprich erupted into continuous laughter in the background.

Though the Telephone Ting artiste said she notified him some time ago that she was going to go public with their relationship, to which he agreed, he was very surprised when he learnt of her big reveal.

"The day when she decided to do it, I didn't know - I was unaware of the time when it was gonna happen. Is like we did a little video shaking hands and then I went to sleep and when I wake up I got like a 1,000 messages from all bout," he giggled. "And mi a seh 'A wah happen?' and she seh 'Guh look pon di Internet' and when mi check, di whole 'net start blow up. Suh a from dehso we start it off and right after dat, wi went Barclay's Center at Bounty Killer show," he said. Fans are in awe over KipRich's refreshing presence on the social spaces.

"I'm more out there now because I never used to do the whole social media thing, but with my partner now being such a big influence on the TikTok ting, we decide we gonna go public yah now, wi naah guh keep it a secret. Suh it's new to me but she more understand it but mi like it - it nice," he laughed.

After once being ridiculed as "poppy show business", the same mouths are now cheering on the "cute, happy couple" after a series of videos and daily updates them kept going viral. They said that the love and admiration that's now shown by supporters, especially in the streets, have been overwhelming. But, despite the excitement and flair that's now surrounding their love life, the couple plans to "be themselves" in order not to get ahead of the hype.

"They watching us daily so we just gotta be ourselves, we're not gonna do anything different," said Kizzy Don to which KipRich added, "We love that they love us for being ourselves".

He noted the compliments from viewers about him being a "real man" for teaching or guiding Kizzy Don with things she might find challenging or are new to her. Fans see it as his way of showing her that "anywhere she fall short me have her back and [vice versa]".

"It's so natural with us, wi naah try fi put on nutten wid our relationship and it just easy because yuh know she jovial and mi have a great sense a humour as well so it's so easy for the both of us," KipRich added.

'Kizzy and Kippo' are, however, still deciding about when the public can expect 'little ones' joining their union. Kizzy Don playfully insisted that despite KipRich wanting marriage first, as the one biologically able to bear children, she can't be forced.

"I don't have any for myself and I'd love to have one. It's probably gonna be a surprise when I tell him," she shared with a laugh.
