Jamaica's 100-metre Butterfly representative, Josh Kirlew, missed out on a spot in the semi-final at the ongoing Paris Olympics after finishing fifth in heat one.
Kirlew was timed at 54.66 in a heat which was won by Croatia's Nikola Miljenic in 53.32s.
Kirlew qualified for his first Olympic Games this year, months after he represented the country for the first time at the World Aquatic Championships in Doha, Qatar in February, posting a personal best time of 54.24 seconds in the men's 100m butterfly.
