New York beat defending champions Boston Celtics 121-113 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night to take a 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference series.
Jalen Brunson scored 39 points for the Knicks while Jason Tatum shot 42 for the Celtics.
Minnesota also took a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series against Golden State Warriors with a 117-110 win in game five.
Julius Randle, 31 points, and Anthony Edwards, 30, scored most points for Minnesota.
