Knicks, Timberwolves Take Respective 3-1 Leads in NBA Playoffs

New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves are now just one win away from reaching their respective conference finals in the NBA.

New York beat defending champions Boston Celtics 121-113 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night to take a 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference series.

Jalen Brunson scored 39 points for the Knicks while Jason Tatum shot 42 for the Celtics.

Minnesota also took a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series against Golden State Warriors with a 117-110 win in game five.

Julius Randle, 31 points, and Anthony Edwards, 30, scored most points for Minnesota.
