PNP stalwart, KD Knight, is threatening legal action against the ruling JLP and its campaign chairman, Dr. Christopher Tufton over an audio recording which was played at the party’s mass rally in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew on Sunday.
The audio recording is purportedly of King’s Counsel KD Knight.
In it, a voice sounding like Knight’s can be heard declaring that PNP President Mark Golding is unfit to be Prime Minister of Jamaica.
But in a statement on Monday, the PNP veteran denounced the recording as a fabrication.
According to Knight, he is actively working to ensure Mark Golding and the PNP are elected to government.
He says he believes Golding is well suited for the job.
Knight believes he has been defamed by the recording.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tufton has hit back at KD Knight, saying the recording played at the JLP’s mass rally in Half Way Tree on Sunday, where the former Cabinet minister was heard criticizing Mark Golding, is authentic.
Tufton says the recording is as real as it gets.
Dr. Tufton says KD Knight’s comments cast doubt about Mark Golding’s suitability for the role of prime minister.
