Diver Yona Knight-Wisdom and competitive swimmer Sabrina Lyn were named male and female athletes of the year at the recent Aquatic Sports Association of Jamaica, ASAJ, Awards Ceremony at the Terra Nova Hotel.
Wisdom received the award for his representation at the Paris Olympics and leadership as Jamaica’s Olympic team captain.
Meanwhile, Lyn was honoured for her remarkable performance in the 50-metres freestyle at the Paris Olympics and leadership as the 2024 CARIFTA team captain.
And Wendy Lee was named coach of the year for her exceptional leadership and dedication to athlete development.
